Time for school.
Raf Simons left the house of Jil Sander at a high point: with a lunch bag. Done in paper, it was not though some of them certainly looked like that at the showing. Taking one of the longest running themes in his personal aesthetic and creating an item that is so common and yet doing it with a luxurious twist is certainly one of Simons' strengths. Who doesn't remember those orange plastic shopping bags for womenswear a few seasons ago that sold out?Well the new creative director of Dior is on the path again with the leather "brown paper bag" that he sent down the runway for his final Sander collection. Setting back buyers back $960 a pop, the accessory sold out on popular e-store Mr. Porter. One day I'll be able to make such a purchase to carry my lunch.
